The Shops at Heavenly Village

Base Camp Pizza Co.

Visiting Tahoe? Don’t miss the Shops at Heavenly Village! Located at the base of Heavenly Mountain Resort’s Gondola (and a close walk to the casinos), this area offers great dining, live music, a movie theater, shops, a lift up the mountain and even ice skating or mini golf! Some of our favorite choices? Driftwood Cafe, Azul Latin Kitchen and Base Camp Pizza Co.!

*The parking garage behind the shops is free for guests of the cinema. It’s also $5 after 5:00 every day!

Adventures in Daytona

It’s almost time for the Daytona 500! If you’ll be visiting us during the next month or two, check out these events:

  • Rolex 24 at the Daytona International Speedway (January 27th-28th): This endurance sports car classic has attracted racing legends since 1962. From sunrise to sunset to sunrise again, this twice-around-the-clock marathon is intense!
  • Historic North Turn Legends Beach Parade (February 10th): This free event is held in honor of Daytona’s historic beach racing days. Vintage race cars from 1948-1958 will parade down the beach beginning at 10:30 a.m.
  • And the big one… Daytona 500! (February 18th): This year, the Daytona 500 celebrates its 60th running! This event usually sells out, so make your plans now.

Another popular choice? Hanging at our beachside pool while grilling on the BBQs and then catching some shade under our beautiful tiki huts… enjoy!

Good Food Around Bandera

Next time you’re visiting us in Bandera, check out these nearby restaurants:

  • OST (Old Spanish Trail) Restaurant (Bandera): Saddle bar stools and a John Wayne room make this the perfect spot to visit when touring the Cowboy Capital of the World.
  • Lost Maples Cafe (Utopia): Famous for their homemade pies! Apple, Fudge Pecan, Cherry, Buttermilk…
  • Bumdoodlers Cafe (in Boerne and Kerrville): The best homemade cheese cake sandwiches and soups.
  • Camp Verde General Store & Restaurant (Camp Verde): Nestled on the shores of the Verde Creek, the General Store was first established in 1857, and rebuilt after a flood swept away the original building around 1900. A taste of history (and dinner, too)!
