Planning a trip to Daytona this fall? Here are a few more events to consider:
Immerse yourself in Greek culture! For 40 years, the annual St. Demetrios Greek Festival has featured authentic traditional Greek food, music, dancing and libations. The event is held from November 7th-10th on the Halifax River at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Daytona Beach. The event is free and open to the public, which includes parking and shuttle service.
The Riverfest Seafood Festival in Ormond Beach features a celebration of everything water: boats, seafood and even pirates! Held from November 16th-17th, this free party is held in Rockefeller Gardens and features two fun-filled days of music, food, vendors, kids’ activities and more.
The Daytona Turkey Run will be held November 28th-December 1st. This family event takes place on the infield of the Daytona International Speedway, and features a car show, car corral, swap meet, crafts and more!
And don’t forget about Biktoberfest from October 17th-20th! This motorcycle rally draws over 125,000 visitors each year. Watch the pros compete, enjoy live music and more!
Autumn in Tahoe is a wonderful time to check out some of the area’s best breweries! Here are some of our favorites:
Cold Water Brewery: This all-grain brewery features hand-crafted beer brewed on site, California comfort food, a full service bar, 5 huge TVs and weekly events and dining specials. Sunday brunch also features a Build Your Own Bloody Mary Bar.
Stateline Brewery: This popular brewery is a short walk from the casinos and Heavenly’s Gondola.
Ford Holiday River Parade (November 29th): Come to San Antonio’s River Walk for this special event. Tickets are available here, or free seating is available on a first come basis (bring your own chairs!).
Dickens on Main (November 29th-30th): One of the most-loved events of the season, the 20th Annual Dickens on Main is held in the historical downtown of Boerne. Two days of family fun include a tree lighting ceremony, horse-drawn carriage rides and a chance to start your holiday shopping in the local shops. Don’t miss the concert held Saturday night!
