It’s almost here: Bike Week in Daytona! Between March 9th and 18th, there are lots of events happening around town, celebrating the 77th year of Bike Week. Here are a few resources if you’ll be visiting during this time:

The Cabbage Patch (in Samsula; over 5 acres of vendors and lots of outdoor events)

Adventures in Daytona

It’s almost time for the Daytona 500! If you’ll be visiting us during the next month or two, check out these events:

Rolex 24 at the Daytona International Speedway (January 27th-28th): This endurance sports car classic has attracted racing legends since 1962. From sunrise to sunset to sunrise again, this twice-around-the-clock marathon is intense!
Historic North Turn Legends Beach Parade (February 10th): This free event is held in honor of Daytona’s historic beach racing days. Vintage race cars from 1948-1958 will parade down the beach beginning at 10:30 a.m.
And the big one… Daytona 500! (February 18th): This year, the Daytona 500 celebrates its 60th running! This event usually sells out, so make your plans now.

Another popular choice? Hanging at our beachside pool while grilling on the BBQs and then catching some shade under our beautiful tiki huts… enjoy!

Update on Our Daytona Resort After Hurricane Irma

We’re thrilled to announce that, in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, our Daytona Beach resort suffered minimal damage and is up and running! Our devoted staff worked tirelessly to clear the debris. The pool is open, the tiki huts survived the storm and the beach is almost back to normal.

In addition, most restaurants are open or in the process of re-opening, as are most major attractions (such as the Boardwalk, Ocean Walk Shoppes, downtown Daytona shops, the Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona Lagoon indoor amusements). Grocery stores are open, and although some debris remains on the roads, it isn’t impeding traffic.

Here are a few pictures from the storm, but rest assured that our wonderful staff has ensured that your upcoming travel plans will proceed smoothly!

Daytona in October & November

Planning a visit to Daytona Beach this fall? Here are some fun events happening around town:

October 19-22: Biktoberfest! This year marks the 25th anniversary of this motorcycle rally, which draws over 125,000 visitors each year. Watch the pros compete, enjoy live music and more!
October 27-29: Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. This free event features classic cars and is celebrating its 10th year.
November 4-5: The Halifax Art Festival. In downtown Daytona, this festival features fine art and crafts, live entertainment, children’s events, fine dining and more.
November 23-26: The 44th Annual Turkey Run at Daytona International Speedway.

Some other year-round options include:

Daytona’s Farmers’ Market (held every Saturday).
The Casements, a Rockefeller home offering daily tours of the beautiful home and grounds.
The Halifax Harbor Marina Dinner & River Cruise. Be sure to book in advance! The food is very good, and now includes a kids’ menu.
