  • Valhalla Renaissance Fair: Hosted at Camp Richardson June 2nd-3rd and 9th-10th, this family-friendly celebration features live events, food and drink, artisan crafts and more!
  • 4th of July Lights on the Lake Fireworks: Each year, Lake Tahoe puts on a spectacular fireworks show to celebrate the 4th. NBC’s Today Show calls it one of the top fireworks display in the country! Follow the link to find some of the top spots to view the event.
  • The Celebrity Golf Tournament at Edgewood: July 10th-15th, 80 pro athletes and Hollywood celebrities will compete in this ever-popular event on Lake Tahoe.
  • Hot August Nights: Celebrating America’s love of classic cars and rock ‘n roll, this year’s event will be held in Virginia City on August 3rd-4th and Reno/Sparks on August 7th-12th.

A tour of the historic Virginia City or a Thunderbird Lodge Tour (by land, boat or kayak) might round out those summer days… what are your favorite ways to spend summer in Tahoe?

Favorite Restaurants Around Bandera

Texas Hill Country has so much to offer visitors, and so much great food for hungry travelers! Looking for a great burger? Try the Alamo Springs General Store and Cafe, located in Fredericksburg (the onion rings are also a hit).

For something a bit different, try the Friedhelms Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Bar (also located in Fredericksburg). Specializing in authentic German and Bavarian cuisine, this unique location is well-known for its steaks.

Or, if traditional bar-b-que is more to your liking, head to Bill’s Bar-B-Que, the oldest bar-b-que joint in Kerrville. They use Texas-sourced meats and grills that have been seasoned for 40 years.

  • Daytona Tortugas baseball season! Head over to Jackie Robinson baseball field — after the games, the kids are allowed to run the bases! Find the game schedule here.
  • If you’ll be visiting over Memorial Day weekend, visit the Ponce De Leon Inlet Light Station and climb to the top of Florida’s tallest lighthouse.
  • Over on the boardwalk, enjoy the Daytona Beach Bandshell Concerts, running May through September every Friday and Saturday night (and stick around for the fireworks afterwards). Here you can find Jimmy Buffet, Beatles and Eagles tribute bands, just to name a few! Find the schedule here.
