Visiting Lake Tahoe This Winter?

View from the Eagles’ Nest

If you love to ski, snowboard, snowshoe or just sit by the fire and gaze at the winter wonderland outside your window, you’ll be happy to know that snow is falling in Tahoe! Come visit during this magical time of year, but make sure that you’re in a safe and dependable vehicle, since winter driving can be challenging. A 4-wheel drive car is the best option for most situations (if the weather is any worse than that, we recommend staying by the fire with a warm drink!).

Happy travels!

In addition to the fishing, swimming, wildlife and other attractions of the park, the Farmstead is a true historic escape. It’s operated in the same manner it was in 1918. Costumed interpreters carry out the day-to-day activities of a turn-of-the-century Texas-German farm family. Some activities are seasonal (such as canning); others are performed daily, such as milking, gathering eggs and plowing the garden. Come for a tour and experience a piece of Texas history!
