Holidays in Daytona

Daytona Beach Shores

Longing to escape the cold weather? The holidays are a wonderful time to explore Daytona! Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Holiday Events at the Casements: tree lighting, shopping, music and more, throughout December! Set on the shore of the Halifax River and just two blocks from the ocean, the mansion has been called “the jewel of Ormond Beach.” During the holidays it transforms into a winter wonderland!
  • Magic of Lights at the Daytona International Speedway: Through the end of the year, the “World Center of Racing” transforms into a holiday wonderland. The holiday drive-through is open Friday through Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from the Magic of Lights will benefit Florida Hospital Foundation.
  • Stetson Mansion Christmas Tours: Built in 1886, this famed Victorian Gilded Age residence is a perfect backdrop for elaborate Christmas decorations, which are different every year.

Happy holidays!

No matter when you’re planning to visit Daytona Beach, there are always lots of activities to choose from! Here are a few of our favorites that are held year-round:

  • The Daytona Beach’s Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m at City Island. This popular event has a rich history, a fabulous location and great vendors. Come explore food products, farm produce, crafts, flowers and more.
  • The Casements is a Rockefeller home located in Ormond Beach. It offers daily tours of the beautiful home and grounds, Monday through Saturday. Various events and festivals are also held throughout the year. The first Friday of each month, watch a movie under the stars in the Rockefeller Gardens!

Seafood in Daytona

Seafood restaurants in Daytona are always a favorite stop! Here are some places we love to visit:

Riptides Raw Bar & Grill in Ormond Beach is home of the 12 foot shark! They offer live music and all-you-can-eat crab legs.

At Aunt Catfish’s on the River, you can dine directly on the Halifax river. They’re known for a spectacular Sunday brunch, and offer a wonderful family dining experience.

Racing’s North Turn sits on the very location where racing began in Daytona Beach. Here you can find a fun, ocean-front dining experience for the entire family.

A local favorite is Our Deck Down Under, which offers casual river-front dining for the entire family.
