Son’s Island: Lakeside Cabanas in the Texas Hill Country!

Son’s Island (located about an hour from our resort, in Sequin) is a wonderful place to spend a day in the Texas Hill Country! Rent a lakeside cabana for the day, go kayaking and paddle boarding, and enjoy the beauty of this special area. Each island cabana has a private floating dock, and some cabanas are located directly on the water. You can also swim, play beach volleyball, enjoy some BBQ and more! Check their website for more information, fabulous photos and some great discounts for the end of August!

Pearl in San Antonio

Located north of downtown San Antonio, the Pearl district was an active brewery from 1883 until 2001. At that time, the historic 22-acre area was transformed into restaurants, shops and so much more, including the third campus of The Culinary Institute of America.

Some of our favorite highlights include the bar at Hotel Emma, a year-round farmers market (every Saturday and Sunday) and the First Thursday Night Market, offered each month, featuring live music, dining and shopping specials from local vendors and artisans.
