We have traded to other properties over the years and have been just as happy in our home resorts. Our 5 PVC weeks allow our family to travel together to the same place at the same time.

PVC
Thanks Larry, we have to agree. We think the Perennial Vacation Club family of resorts are not only quite nice but offer the member's great vacation diversity.

Just returned from our beautiful resort in Daytona Beach Shores. All of our visits to Lakeland, Tahoe or Daytona Beach Shores have been wonderful. Have to give a " very well done" to Miriam and Elvira for their extra care and help. They just do every thing to meet our needs. Reminds us of Phyllis at the home office who has been our personal vacation specialists for so many years. Thank you ladies for your professional knowledge and care to us.

PVC
Thank you Art, I will be glad to pass your email along to the ladies, they work hard at trying to make everyone's vacation special and I know they will appreciate your kind words.

Looked at your e-newsletter for the first time and wondered what happened to your resort "Puerta Plata" in the Dom.Rep. Had a great vacation there many years ago.

PVC
Ellen, I hope this will answer your question, it is from a posting on the Perennial Vacation Club Facebook page dated September 12, 2011:
"Sadly Fun Tropicale is no longer a part of Perennial Vacation Club. Fun Tropicale was a rapidly unfolding occurrence that required immediate action. The near overnight deterioration of the resort resulted from many factors: the local economy, the disaster/tragedy in neighboring Haiti, and the majority owner's inability to properly maintain the resort's condition. Additionally, both major exchange companies indicated, due to the undesirable conditions, they would no longer accept this location for exchange purposes. In fact, the entire resort and grounds were closed on March 1 by the majority owners, without Perennial Vacation Club being notified! This is, of course, the very reason your club has an elected board so as to be able to make decisions that are in the best interest of the members. In short, member safety as well as the "Vacation Experience" no longer met the criteria of the Club. No decisions have been made as yet, but new properties are currently being researched to replace Fun Tropicale."

This event was one of the prime reasons the Perenial Vacation Club Facebook page as well as this Comments page were started; to improve communications with members... Thank you for the question.

We have been members for many years, but have not used the resorts in the past few years due to no available resorts that allow pets. Having spoken to accounting at corp. I find you are shopping for new properties. Could a pet friendly property be in the offing? It could even be very bare bones, this would appeal to many folks who want to travel with their pets. Even just a few units dedicated to pet owner in each property would be highly desirable to those of us who cherish our pets and want to take vacations with them. There are LOTS of us out here.

PVC
A very good question.  We are owners and pet lovers too and certainly understand.  Unfortunately, not every pet owner is a conscientious, courteous pet parent.  We have questioned other resorts on this issue and they report the following issues (though in the minority, when exhibited are very disturbing to guests and management alike as well as adding extra cost to the resort maintenance budget): barking, soiled carpet, scratched walls and doors, chewed furniture, shedding, and extensive cleaning after some stays.  That said, your inquiry has resulted in management asking for recommendations from Resort Managers and staff as to the possibility of implementing a pet unit.  Should we manage to do so, we will let you know!

Great new look! You have made some very nice changes...kudos!! I think the members will enjoy this comment page. Thanks for all your hard work and all the staff that work at Perennial. I've been a member since 1981 and have enjoyed staying at every one of our club's destinations.

PVC
Carole, thank you, your kind words are much appreciated. We don't want to stop here, we very much desire to continue updating and changing the website and other forms of communication to members so that all can benefit from everything their memberships have to offer. We encourage everyone to give us input for what they would like to see on the website, on our new Facebook page and in the newsletter. Again, thank you Carole… here's to great vacations!

I think the upgraded website is great. Nice to have a fresh new look to start the year. I would also like to advise our members of another option for EXCHANGES. There is a new website called TIMESHARE JUICE which is free to join and offers you the ability to exchange your timeshare week with someone else thru their website for FREE, yes you read it right FREE! No cost exchange if you find another owner who is interested in your week. Its just another option, exchange opportunities grow as their membership increases so join and spread the word.

PVC
Lee, thank you for your kind words about the website, and letting members know about an alternative for exchange. Though we cannot endorse any outside exchanges services, we do want to encourage all members to use their weeks to their fullest potential and if this can help some members make their exchanges and save money that would be fantastic.  At the same time, we remind everyone Perennial Vacation Club's Reservations staff are professionals, well trained to navigate the many options and obstacles to find what you are looking for. Call (800) 359-6753 or (775) 782-9100, press 1 for Reservations or 2 for Direct Exchange

Have been an owner at Tahoe now for 10 years and se love it. And we don't ski! Eagles' Nest and Tahoe Village are fantastic condo's with great views. There is much more to Tahoe than skiing

PVC
There is a lot to love about Lake Tahoe!

Perennial got us a condo through the exchange program in Aruba last April that was fabulous. Best place to vacation ever - great weather, beautiful beaches, wonderful food, everyone speaks English and they accept the dollar so no hassles at all. Highly recommend. We hope to go back again. Love my timeshare!!

Just left there, woohoo, it was great!!! (Eagles' Nest)

Been visiting since mid 80"s can't be a better place to ski (Eagles' Nest)

PVC
I could not agree with you more... the skiing is the best! Not everyone knows Tahoe boasts 11 major ski areas, 7 of which are considered world class not to mention the many cross-country ski areas and snow parks... add to that average snowfalls of 300-500 inches per year and you have a perfect recipe for winter fun.
